Windmill Park

The park is a County-owned property available for enjoyment during park hours.

Organizational, local, and large family group events require permission from the County. Each activity in the park should be fun and safe for everyone.

To reserve Windmill Park for your event, call Yavapai County at 928-771-3115

PARK HOURS ARE FROM SUNRISE TO SUNSET.

The gates are solar powered.

We do schedule periodic park work days by volunteers as needed.  Tuesday the park is watered and therefore is wet for a couple of days. Occasionally, grills may not be available due to fire restrictions.
Please use the park responsibly:

  • Pick up after your pet.
  • Take trash and leftovers with you.

The fire department will be installing an AED at Windmill Park. This will be available for any citizen to use in the event someone is suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest. They would greatly appreciate it if we would help keep an eye on it. They haven’t had any issues with vandalism or theft with our other public AED’s and are hoping the same will hold true at the park.

Do you know about the PulsePoint App? It can be downloaded for free on any smart phone. Alerts will be sent to the phone if it is within a ½ a mile or so of someone having a sudden cardiac arrest in a public location. The alert is sent out the same time we are notified by our dispatch center so that a bystander can start hands-only CPR before we get there. This is crucial in saving lives! Additionally, it allows the user to see where the closest AED is and will even provide the tempo at which to do compressions.

Bonus, if you “follow” all the fire and EMS agencies in the Verde Valley, you will be able to see information on most of their calls.
